Married to a NFL Quarterback December 29, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — collegeknowledge @ 6:40 pm

In my last post I told you that we are on a family vacation to California.  On our way out here I was thrilled to find out that I am in fact, married to a NFL quarterback!  How did this little tid bit of information get past me?

Let me explain.  As we were exiting the plane at our first connection the pilot came out and stopped my husband and said, “I thought that was you, can I get a picture with you?”  My husband being as accommodating as he is, agreed and they proceeded to make everyone on the plane wait to exit as the pilot got the exact picture he wanted on his iphone.  I was confused as you can understand…  So I asked my husband, “what was that all about?”  He replied, with a sheepish grin, “He thinks I’m Brett Favre!”  Then everyone around us suddenly exclaimed, “So did we!”  Then as we’re walking through the terminal some guy comes up to him and says, “has anyone ever told you that you look like Brett Favre?”  OH, but I’m not done yet…

So we get on our next plane to LA and the flight attendant comes up to us and says to my husband,”are you Brett Favre?”  He explains that he is not and she says that they were checking the manifest for his name and thought that maybe he was traveling under an assumed name.  I thought honey, if he was Brett Favre do you think we’d be flying coach?  Someone would be carrying my bags and a car would be waiting for us when we get to LA!

Take a look at the photos below of Brett and my husband Jim and answer my poll.  What do you think?

  1. Nancy Says:

I think if Jim had that “scrubby” beard (is that the right name for it?) — was in casual dress — he has the same face shape — same hair “style” though not quite as short and Jim’s is much darker (am I negating my “yes” reasons?) — I can see where he might be mistaken for Favre. If nothing else, what a GREAT STORY you have to tell everyone — I think it’s an exciting “happening”.
Now me, I get, “Do you know Karen? You look just like her grandmother!” or “Are you Jean’s grant aunt?” See, could be worse! Nancy
